MEDIA DESIGN NEW TECHNOLOGY

FLASH PROFESSIONAL

Flash graphics and animation are designed using a variety of Flash editing software, such as Adobe Flash Builder, Adobe Animate, FlashDevelop, or any text editor when used with the Apache Flex SDK. Content may be viewed by end-users using Flash Player (for web browsers), AIR (for desktop or mobile apps) or third-party players such as Scaleform GFx (for video games). Adobe Flash Player enables end-users to view Flash content using web browsers, and is supported on Microsoft Windows, Mac OS X and Linux. Adobe Flash Lite enabled viewing Flash content on older smartphones, but has been discontinued and superseded by Adobe AIR.

The ActionScript programming language allows creation of interactive animations, video games, web applications, desktop applications and mobile applications. Flash software can be developed using an IDE such as Adobe Animate, Adobe Flash Builder, FlashDevelop and Powerflasher FDT. Adobe AIR enables full-featured desktop and mobile applications to be developed with Flash, and published for Microsoft Windows, Mac OS X, Google Android, and iOS.

For the class activities I have done a tutorial about how to  use flash professional it quite simple for the image only without any moving. From the tutorial I learnt many thing like how to make the shape of the moon and also the shape of the wave. Other than that I also learnt on how to make a transparency on the object

DESIGN AND BUSINESS STRATEGY

BUSINESS PLAN

A business plan is a written description of your business's future. That's all there is to it--a document that desribes what you plan to do and how you plan to do it. If you jot down a paragraph on the back of an envelope describing your business strategy, you've written a plan, or at least the germ of a plan.

Startups. The classic business plan writer is an entrepreneur seeking funds to help start a new venture. Many, many great companies had their starts on paper, in the form of a plan that was used to convince investors to put up the capital necessary to get them under way.

Most books on business planning seem to be aimed at these startup business owners. There's one good reason for that: As the least experienced of the potential plan writers, they're probably most appreciative of the guidance. However, it's a mistake to think that only cash-starved startups need business plans. Business owners find plans useful at all stages of their companies' existence, whether they're seeking financing or trying to figure out how to invest a surplus.

Established firms seeking help. Not all business plans are written by starry-eyed entrepreneurs. Many are written by and for companies that are long past the startup stage. WalkerGroup/Designs, for instance, was already well-established as a designer of stores for major retailers when founder Ken Walker got the idea of trademarking and licensing to apparel makers and others the symbols 01-01-00 as a sort of numeric shorthand for the approaching millennium. Before beginning the arduous and costly task of trademarking it worldwide, Walker used a business plan complete with sales forecasts to convince big retailers it would be a good idea to promise to carry the 01-01-00 goods. It helped make the new venture a winner long before the big day arrived. "As a result of the retail support up front," Walker says, "we had over 45 licensees running the gamut of product lines almost from the beginning."

These middle-stage enterprises may draft plans to help them find funding for growth just as the startups do, although the amounts they seek may be larger and the investors more willing. They may feel the need for a written plan to help manage an already rapidly growing business. Or a plan may be seen as a valuable tool to be used to convey the mission and prospects of the business to customers, suppliers or others.

DESIGN AND BUSINESS STRATEGY

BUSINESS MODEL CONCEPT

There are 4 type of business model concept that we should know in this business strategy

1. Competitive Advantage
2. Value Chain
3. Core Competency
4. The Experience Curve

Competitive Advantage
A competitive advantage is an advantage over competitors gained by offering consumers greater value, either by means of lower prices or by providing greater benefits and service that justifies higher prices.

Porter suggested four "generic" business strategies that could be adopted in order to gain competitive advantage. The strategies relate to the extent to which the scope of a business' activities are narrow versus broad and the extent to which a business seeks to differentiate its products.

Value Chain

Core Competency

A core competency is a company's unique characteristic or capability that provides a competitive advantage in the marketplace, delivers value to customers, and contributes to continued organizational growth. Core competencies typically comprise fundamental knowledge, ability or expertise in a specific subject area or skill set, allow a business to reach a wide range of markets, and cannot be easily replicated by competitors.

The Experience Curve

The more experience a firm has in producing a particular product, the lower its costs. For example the doctor, the more he/she got knowledge or experience the higher the tax they charge to the customer.

For my group the suitable business model concept is the value chain. We want to make a theme park in Sarawak and it is a new theme park at Pantai Damai, santobong Sarawak.

DESIGN SYSTEM AND SERVICES

PROCESS

For the last blog post I mention about the idea to make a system about the body type. I want to make a system that will make the female feel happy to choose and be confident to wear the outfit that suitable with their shape of body, but this system have a difficulty and also a sensitive issue.

Fashion is one of the sensitive issue other than color that why I need to find another idea to make a system and I need to find it fast because is like I already left behind the other peer. It make me feel stress but luckily I have a nice and awesome lecture that can help me to solve my problem in identifying the idea.

From the discussion this afternoon I get the new idea about what I want to make for the subject design system and service. The idea was like a blood donation campaign, each time the person donate blood the t-shirt will produce another color and the more the person donate the blood the color will increase.

For this type of system I need to do a research about the statistic of blood donor in Malaysia and also I need to design how the system will look like and how it work.

There is some reference that I get from the you tube  that show about the blood donation campaign. It cool idea but need to add something to make it be more complete.

DESIGN SYSTEM AND SERVICES

PROCESS

At first my idea was to make a system about the color emotion but this system have a problem. When we talk about color there will be touch about the sensitivity of some people such as the skin tone color. Therefore it is not suitable for me to make a system about it, it will make some people feel bad with their skin color. Other than that color now days have become subjective, every people with any skin tone color can wear all the color. Beside that color through fashion can change according to time and it will make the system that I want to make need to reorder it according to the time and it cannot be fits.

Therefor, I come out with new idea that is about the body shape of female and the suitable cloth to their type. There is eight types body of female such as rectangle, pear, spoon, hourglass, top hourglass, oval, diamond, and also inverted triangle.

1. RECTANGLE BODY SHAPE

   2. PEAR BODY SHAPE

3. SPOON BODY SHAPE

4. HOURGLASS BODY SHAPE

5. TOP HOURGLASS BODY SHAPE

6. OVAL BODY SHAPE

7. DIAMOND BODY SHAPE

8. INVERTED TRIANGLE BODY SHAPE

Each of the body type have a difference of type of cloth for the top and also for the bottom. The purpose of this specific of type is because to make the appearance look more attractive and make the user feel more confidence to face the public.
