Digital Photography & imagine

TASK 4
RE-PRODUCTION

In this task we are require to take a photo several people minimum 3 person. this task like a photo manipulation that we must take every part of the other face and combine it into one face. Make a new person that no one can recognize them. For my photo I take my classmate photo and manipulate it into someone else.
For the main body I take Alexis body and their face shape


  after that I change the eyebrow with satish eyebrow


for the nose I use hatmi nose that is bigger that the actual nose in the picture.


 for this task I need to make sure that the person that I choose is totally transform therefor I deside to make the person in the photo wear a scarf. I take my own picture and cut the face and replace it with alexis face. this is the image of the scarf that I took.

  
and last thing is I change the mouth of the picture. I took my own picture  and make a difference mouth and cut it and paste it into the picture. 


I notice that is still have to change something that is the eye for the photo therefore I took jeffry photo and cut the eye and paste it into the photo that I choose. 


And this is the result after transformation. 


This is the image after all the transformation, I give the name of this new person Joyah. why I put the name Joyah was because of the mouth it look like the person is talkative. Relate to the Malay culture usually the person who is very talkative we call them Joyah and that is why I put the name is Joyah.

TASK 3
LIGHTING

In this task we are require to take or experiment on three type of lighting, there will have 1 lighting, 2 lighting, and 3 lighting. The effect of the lighting will be difference.

1 LIGHTING


This is the picture of one lighting that I took. In this lighting the thing that I need to experiment is the light source and the light placement. difference angle of the light will give you the difference effect of the image because when we put difference angle of lighting, the shadow also will be part of the image. For my image that I took the lighting I put it on the left side of the model and as we can see the shadow will be on the right side of the model. The right side of the model look dark and we cannot see the full page of the model because of the lighting.

2 LIGHTING

 
The two point of lighting can give an effect of 3D depend on how we place the light. For the image that I took I put the light on the left and right side of the model. As we can see there still have a little shadow in the middle face of the model. The ratio of the light that I use for this is 1:3 .


3 LIGHTING


For this lighting I put the light at the both side of the  model and the third light I put it behind  the model to make it look like the glowing effect at the  behind of the model. In this type of lighting there will have no shadow because all the side have their own light.

REFLECTION
- I learnt on how to handle and put the light on the right place to get the result that I want.
- learnt on how to give the instruction to the model on how to posing.
- when goes to posing part I learnt that when do a posing there is need only a minor movement not a drastic move.

TASK 1
OUTING/ PHOTOGRAPHY SHOOTING

For this task I need to go to Seremban wet market to get some picture in there. Before I go there I make a little research about the photography for the wet market. For the wet market photography there will be an element such as line, shape, color and texture. This is some of the example of the image that we can get from the internet about wet market.

and this is the image that I manage to capture when I'm going outing in Seremban wet market. 


The image of the decoration for celebrating the Chinese New Year. The old man was sitting there waiting for his wife to buy something in the shop.


The image is about the owner of the shop look at their selling item that he hang outside of their shop. This photography contain the element of color, shape, and lighting.


In this picture there have an element like the color, size, shape and also the line. As we can see the size of the lemon was difference, it is from the small size to the  big size.


The image show that a butcher do them work in the morning to gain a money for their family.

DIGITAL PHOTOGRAPHY & IMAGING

BASIC PHOTOGRAPHY

You can do photography with even the simplest of cameras, but the principles that I’d like to explain  are for people who want to learn to use a DSLR camera, a micro four-thirds camera, or at least a camera that allows the photographer to adjust the shutter speed, aperture, and ISO.  Even some pocket cameras have this functionality. What is shutter speed, aperture, and ISO ?

SHUTTER SPEED

shutter speed is ‘the amount of time that the shutter is open’. In film photography it was the length of time that the film was exposed to the scene you’re photographing and similarly in digital photography shutter speed is the length of time that your image sensor ‘sees’ the scene you’re attempting to capture.
Shutter speed is measured in seconds – or in most cases fractions of seconds. The bigger the denominator the faster the speed. In most cases you’ll probably be using shutter speeds of 1/60th of a second or faster. This is because anything slower than this is very difficult to use without getting camera shake. Camera shake is when your camera is moving while the shutter is open and results in blur in your photos.
If you’re using a slow shutter speed (anything slower than 1/60) you will need to either use a tripod or some some type of image stabilization

APERTURE

Simply put, aperture is a hole within a lens, through which light travels into the camera body. It is easier to understand the concept if you just think about our eyes. Every camera that we know of today is designed like human eyes. The cornea in our eyes is like the front element of a lens – it gathers all external light, then bends it and passes it to the iris. Depending on the amount of light, the iris can either expand or shrink, controlling the size of the pupil, which is a hole that lets the light pass further into the eye. The pupil is essentially what we refer to as aperture in photography. The amount of light that enters the retina (which works just like the camera sensor), is limited to the size of the pupil – the larger the pupil, the more light enters the retina.

So, the easiest way to remember aperture, is by associating it with your pupil. Large pupil size equals large aperture, while small pupil size equals small aperture.

One important thing to remember here, the size of the aperture has a direct impact on the depth of field, which is the area of the image that appears sharp. A large f-number such as f/32, (which means a smaller aperture) will bring all foreground and background objects in focus, while a small f-number such as f/1.4 will isolate the foreground from the background by making the foreground objects sharp and the background blurry.

ISO

A high ISO such as ISO 1,600 will produce a brighter picture than a lower ISO such as ISO 100. The drawback to increasing the ISO is that it makes the picture noisier.  Digital noise is apparent when a photo looks grainy. Have you ever taken a picture at night with your cell phone or your pocket camera, and noticed that it looks really grainy?  That is because the camera tried to compensate for the dark scene by choosing a high ISO, which causes more grain.
