INTERACTIVE DESIGN FOR GAMES AND WEB APPLICATION

DESIGNING THE GAME ( PROCESS )

After finish planing how the games will look like in each of the level now I need to understanding the codding in the software that I will use to make my game. I will use the scratch software to make my games.

I watch other resource such as the you tube to understand how to make the coding.  In my game, the character will jump from one platform to another platform it is same as the Mario games therefor I just search on how the Mario game codding. I try to follow as what I saw but still the character cannot jump therefor I ask the lecture to help me solving the problem that I faces.

This is how my game will look like. this is for the first level of my game


The environment is base on the Mantin, as we can see the way from the collage to first traffic light in Mantin we can only see the tree and also the fruit stall that sell the fruit that we can find in Mantin such as Durian, Banana, Dragon fruit and many more. After I finish designing the background for my game now I need to codding the game so the character will jump from one platform to another platform. This is how the look of the codding of my games.

Picture 1 and 2 is the coding for the first sprite that is my character.

The picture 3 is the codding for the fruit durian and the picture 4 and 5 is the codding for the papaya and banana. all this codding will make the fruit disappear if the sprite 1 touch the fruit.

REFLECTION

I need to really understanding the codding to make the game. Codding is like the order to the sprite or the  character to move as we want.
If we made the mistake or we left one of the codding the game will not work as we want.

In my games there will be 5 level. in each of the level audience need to collect different thing that is base on the area in Mantin. Other than that in each of the level there will have the difference of the  obstacle.

LEVEL 1
PLACE : Road to Mantin until the first traffic light in Mantin.
COLLECT : Need to collect all the fruit that sell in Mantin
OBSTACLE : Beware of the dog in Mantin

LEVEL 2
PLACE : Wet market
COLLECT : Need to collect fish and also the chicken
OBSTACLE : Must be faster because the cat will eat the chicken and also the fish

LEVEL 3
PLACE : Pusat penjaja-penjaja Mantin
COLLECT : Need to collect the kuih pau that is hiding in the restaurant
OBSTACLE : Beware of the dog and the cat

LEVEL 4
PLACE :  Food stall
COLLECT : Need to collect all the nasi lemak in the food stall
OBSTACLE : Need to be fast because other customer will take the nasi lemak.

LEVEL 5
PLACE : Mantin Mamak Restaurant
COLLECT : Need to find all the mamak restaurant that sell roti canai in Mantin town
OBSTACLE : Need to be fast because roti canai only sell in the morning only.

REFLECTION
I need to understand more on mapping in Mantin to make this game because all the level in the game base on mapping in the Mantin.
Other than that I also must know which area with their trademark.

GAME CHARACTER

I need to create a character for my game therefore I made a research on designing the character in the module 3D character. I made a character name foodie as the main character in my game.

other than that I also make other character as the obstacle. it is normal to see other character in the game. The obstacle will make the game more interesting and challenging to the audience. This is other character that I will put in my games as the obstacle

 

this is all the character as the obstacle in my games. in each of the level will have the difference obstacle.
