Final group project 

          We are dividing to a 3 group, the member of the group is chosen by the lecture. We are requiring making a movie based on theme Mantin. For my group member are:

1. Aisyah (me)

2. Samira

3. Hui Xing

        We have divided the task for each one in the group. My task is making a story about Mantin, Samira task is record and editing the video and our actor is Hui Xing, and Satish. We search in a Google about Mantin and we also ask somebody who live in Mantin about the history of Mantin. After that we discuss what type of movie we want to make and what kind of story that we want to produce.

        Last week we do some rehearsal about the movie and we have to practice a lot to make the movie become more realistic and we must put more emotion to the story. I cannot wait to see the final video it will be a great project for this semester.

       Last week we require to bring some food that represent our self so I bring jawa food because in my family there is jawa blood. I bring pecal it is contain a lot of vegetable and we eat it with peanut sauce. The taste was a little spicy it represent me because I like spicy food.

This is what I feel about the food that I taste:

What I get:

I learnt to evaluate the taste of different kind of food and imagine the texture of the food and how it looks like. It give a new imaginative think. Know the taste of food from different country.

Individual Task

             Last week we are requiring to do a task and need to present it on Friday…we are given a piece of paper and in each of the paper contain a different question that we must draw something to solve the problem. My question is ‘What is the radio playing at the moment? ’. When I get this type of question I was thinking what can I draw with this question to make it look different.. hmmmm…

            Then I decide to solve this question by listening to the radio. When I switch on the radio and the radio was play the love song the tittle of the song is ‘Perfect Two’. After that I’m thinking to draw something fun that relate to the song.. and this is what I draw…

            I draw the music note was dancing with his couple happily and enjoy the moment. Other than that I also draw the thing like glass, shoes and peanut this entire thing I get from the lyric of the song.

            While I was drawing, suddenly the song is being played out and then followed by reading news. Than at the moment I was thinking to draw something else but the paper already full with the drawing of the song so I decided do draw at another paper and this is what I get..

            The news is about MH370 it is the famous issue right now. So I’m thinking to draw the story about MH370 from the beginning it disappears until it found.  It is a sad story and nobody want this tragedy happen but it’s already happen and we just can pray that tragedy like this would not happen again in the future.   

            

WHAT I GET FROM THIS TASK :

• This kind of task tech me to think different and make my imagination become wider. From the imagination we can create many thing that other person may not think about this. And each person have different imagination and we can share it to let other people know what we think and feel.
• Other than that I also learnt to express my feeling whether happy, angry, fun and many more in drawing and I find that the drawing that we draw with a different mood will bring a different result. The drawing with a mood will bring the outcome more interesting and beautiful.
• Lastly, we should not depend only in google to find a solution for each of our problem. Sometime we can use a manual to find a solution of our problem. Other than that peer learning also help in solving a problem.

what we get from the previous learning

       Last week we are require to do a presentation about what we learnt from the first day we study about the subject academic skill.  Each of us must present our own blog and what we get from that. After that each of us must give 3 good things and 3 things that we can improve for our friend presentation. I must talk about xu hui presentation for me her presentation have a lot to improve such as must speak more louder, not to be shy, improve the English, and must update the blog. But I’m respect her afford to speak in English although it is not a proper sentences.

            For me the person that is good in presentation is samira. She has her own confident level and it can take all the attention from the audient to see and want to know what she wants to present. Other than that her eye contact with the audient also good. But she also need to improve something like reduce using the word ‘arrr…’ and also use the words that is simple but have a compact meaning.

            Here all the comment that I get from my previous presentation. My friend Alexis said that I should improve my English, reduce the shaking while present and also louder the voice. Miss Nadyra said that I have many improvements from a very shy girl to be better than before this. She also said that I have to be more informative and creative in elaborate the point. Samira said that I should be braver because I’m good but very shy.

            From here I know what I should do, maybe I should join the English class to improve my English or read a lot of English article or English material. Other than that maybe I should use more English in my conversation in daily life so that I will be wonted to speak English without feel scare and shy. For my shaking problem while I’m present, I think I must do something to overcome it like miss Nadyra said we can overcome it by looking to the person that we feel comfortable and after that we can slowly looking to the other. But maybe I can wear a sunglasses to avoid looking at the audient eyes..hehehe..

For the voice problem maybe I can practice speak at the field and ask somebody to seat far from me maybe in 100m and listen for what I want to say. I must try to speak until the person here my voice clearly or maybe I just use the microphone..haha.. I think my voice become slowly because I’m not prepare and feel scare in front of the audient and I’m not have a confident to present. So after this I must be prepare when I want to do a presentation, be more confident and said it louder so that all the audient will know what I want to convey in my presentation.

           For the last problem that I face is to elaborate the point. I think I have prepare all the thing that I want to talk in my presentation but when the time to present I lost all the point and I forget what I want and must elaborate. I think after this I must write down what I want to said because my weakness is scare and when I scare I lost everything, I must control my fear and I will try to control it slowly.

           

          Other than presentation miss Nadyra also want us to search a meaning of word peer learning. Peer learning is an educational practice in which students interact with other students to attain educational goals.  In this context, it can be compared to the practices that go by the name cooperative learning.  It is useful for us because easy for us to understand maybe the reason of this because our thinking are same. Other than that we can communicate easily with our friend and maybe we can feel more comfortable when we sharing what we get and know with our friend, sharing is caring right. so from here we can get more information and more thing that we can apply to our life.

Last Wednesday we are asked to pick a paper that contains a problem that each of us must solve the problem that we get. Here is the problem that we get:

AISYAH (me)

= Draw how you want to cross the lake with using nothing but your leg?

I will stretching the leg or the body to cross the leg

SATISH

= Witch part of the body you think unique and creative?

He think that the head is the most unique and creative part in the whole body.

= How you design you art work if you are blind?

He closes his eye and starts paint using water color and color pencil

SAMIRA

= How you will snap a picture when your camera is not functional?

She uses her web cam of her laptop and the scanner to take a picture.

= You only have RM 1, how will you travel from Kuala Lumpur to Nilai

She will hitch hike or walk from the Kuala Lumpur to Nilai

REYNERD

= What will you do if you saw a good friend is shoplifting?

He will give advice to her good friend and said that he will tell her parent if he or she do it again

= What will you do if the cashier gives you RM2.50 extra?

He will give the money back to the casher or he will slap the casher for being week in math.

ALEXIS

= You don’t have 3D software, how you want to make a 3D art?

She will use the clay to make a 3D art and she makes a duck.

HUI XING

= How you want to draw something if you don’t have hand?

She will use her hand to draw

XU HUI

= How will you design if you are not installation any software?

She will design manually by using her hand

From here I learn to be creative in solving the problem. There is many way to solve the problem if anything happen. we just must be creative and think out side of the box.

Last week we play a fun game in a group. We have to write a word each of us in a paper than make a story from all the words. The game contain 3 round and 9 members in the group

Round 1 we get the words:

  =Perfections, enjoyment, tunnel, foggy, cat, wearied, feather, mirror, beach.

We are asking to make a funny story in 5 minutes from this words and this is my story:

      Perfections is the enjoyment through tunnel with a foggy and many kind of cat with a wearied condition, some with two tails, some cat have feather and can fly, some can sing. At the side of the tunnel there is a mirror and you can go through the mirror and you can reach at the beach.

There are only 6 members can make the story funny and the other 3 exit.

Round 2 we get the words:

   =Underwear, bleeding eye zombie, crows, hanging eye ball, clown, vampire, grave, lady, ET

  From this word we must make a horror story in 3 minutes and this is what I get:

     There is flying underwear with the bleeding eye zombie at the night and it produce a sound of crows. There is a house with hanging eye ball and there is a clown sitting in the house. At the outside of the house there is vampire which just wake up from the grave and fly to the lady and bite the lady and the ET until there is no blood anymore. The end.

Only 4 members past this round

Round 3 that is last round and only one can win this game. This is the words that we get:

   =Money, sleep, cheated, torn, grandmother, break up, hungry, rainbow, failure

From this words we are ask to do a sad story in 3 minutes and this is my story:

   There is one family with no money and no place to sleep. The families do not have choice and sleep at the side of the road. The family always being cheated by other person who always promises to make they rich. At the end they do not have a nice cloth and must wear a torn cloth. There is a father, mother, a small child and grandmother at the road side bagging for some money to buy a food. There is also a boy at the road side who just break up with her girlfriend. The child was hungry and crying nonstop. Suddenly the mother show to her child a rainbow and said “in our life there is always have a failure but we must not give up and do the best in the future”

The winner of this game for that day was me and I got colour pencil as a gift from the lecture

Activities for Today

       Yesterday I have some fun in the class,we are ask to do some fun activity like role play and guess a object. The lecture write the name on the paper and fold it than we are ask to toss it one by one. there is two section,one is for describe a thing and another one is to acting like a person that the name we get.

        In the first section we must describe about the criteria of a thing like the criteria of a drawing block and the other must guess the thing. It is very fun and enjoyable, other than we get some fun we also can improve and add knowledge. The another section is we must role play as a person that we get the name. It good for us to know each of us well,know how our friends character, behavior, and also maybe their streak mark. Sometime we do not know how actually we are at the class but our friend will know better than our self.

        From this activities I learn to know my self better and also my friend character. It can help me in the future to understand my future team work well and also my future leader. If we know how their character well it will be easy for us to tolerate in something.Other than that our friendship also will be good, we can feel more comfortable with all our friend like a family and the final work will have more quality.

Task: Reflective Practice

Students are required to write an essay of their own understanding about individual creative practice and plagiarism with supporting material.



     Creative play an important role in the field of art and design , where each designer has their own creativity. to succeed in the field of art and design, a designer should have their own creative practice . Creative practice is a process in which something you do on a consistent basis , whether you want to or not . It's not about how you feel, it's about what you do have a way of thinking and attitude following the behavior, not the other way. when we adopt this creative practice , indirectly our creativity as a designer to grow and increase based on what we want to study. Plagiarism is an unhealthy activity , it's a mimicry of other sources, for which an individual taking other people's work and make it as a our work. Plagiarism should not be practiced in everyday life as it has many disadvantages compared to the benefit , and it not assist in career development and in the art field.

    Creative practice is a practice that we do and become our daily routine to produce a higher quality of new ideas. Every time we practice the new creative ideas will sprout and become better. when we already have a career or work, creative practice is very important in making something work or tasks run more smoothly. An idea can come if we record all the new and exciting things we saw with the sketch or take a picture of the thing. Such materials can be a reference for us in the future in order to generate new ideas more efficient and competitive. Besides these ideas can also be polished from time to time to get more quality.

    Creative is not just to make art but as designers we should be open-minded and flexible.  Apart from that we also must trust yourself in any case we do not expect to happen. We should be preparing ourselves to meet future challenges so that we become better prepared. Prepare themselves with various skills so that we do not feel awkward in the face of many obstacles. Besides, in creative practice we should always do the experiment so that we know and feel what is happening already well we can improve our work in the future. Experiments that we can do such a thing to change the design of the other design but still retain the same functionality, for example diversify the design of a chair to become a more attractive design. This is intended to be of interest, especially the children learn how to sit in a proper way and to diversify the functions of the chair.

     In creative practice there are also some rules that we must follow as a guide for us to be more methodical in doing artwork. The first rule is to believe in yourself to experiment. When do an experiment one must dare to take the risk. This is because  when someone is brave enough to take risk, they will see the problem as a challenge for a designer  and not be afraid to start anywhere. Beside, we also have to set the mind that do not be afraid to make mistake because if we are afraid to make a mistake it will block our creativity as a designer. As a designer, we must think outside the box, it will produce a marvelous idea. Lastly is cooperative, learn from other approaches to the limitation.  

   
 Plagiarism is defined as "deliberate or reckless representation of another persons words, thoughts, or ideas on their own without attribution in connection with submission of academic work, whether graded or otherwise."( Instrument Student Judicial Governence, Section II.B.1. )(http://writingcenter.unc.edu/handouts/plagiarism/ ). Take or copy other people's work without permission is wrong. Apart from that we also will not get any benefit from this abuse, but we also not be able to evaluate and interpret the results of our own work. Furthermore our skill will deteriorate because we are too dependent on copying the work of others. Besides, the ideas generated will not grow and will not be developed. Therefore, as a person who wants to move forward we must avoid plagiarism in everyday life because it is not helping us thinking wider.


   In nut of shell, creative practice is extremely important in making someone more expert in the field of design. Therefor, we must always adopt this practice so that we will be successful in the future. Besides that, plagiarism should be avoid to ensure our work more original. Plagiarism can be done but in small amounts, it's best to avoid doing any plagiarism us then our work will be more professional.
