Visual communication is one of the way to deliver some information in creative way. As a designer we use our creativity to make the information look attractive and useful to the audience. Other than that the information that we want to deliver should suitable to our target audience.

The process making gasing
Subj : 2D Animation
After I make the story now I need to make the storyboards and need to think how to begin and make introduction for my animation. First I need to make a scheduled for the each frame I need to set the time for each frame. My animation should not more than 2 minute therefor I need to set the time nicely.
When I want to make this animation my lecture have told me how much drawing should I draw it count like one second contain six drawing therefore I must make 720 drawing for my 2 minute animation. Although it only take 2 minute animation but the process to make 2 minute animation was a very hard time for me.
For introduction I just make the view of the house zoom in and than go to the 3 kid next to the house. I think it will look ok because in my opinion we want to know something first we look from the surface therefore if I want to make audience keep to look at my animation I should attract them to see what happen next in my story.
For the drawing I made some of my drawing manually but some of my drawing I made it using Photoshop. In my opinion some of the drawing become easier when we do manually but some are not.
In this subject I also learnt how to make a background for some of the image. actually in animation character is not only thing that play a role to make our animation look good and interesting but sometime we can only use the view of the background as some of the part in our animation. This is because if we know the character only but we does not know where the place or what is the background of our animation it will make our story does not have a attraction. For me a good animation is when we manage to do a great character with a great background because a great staging will make the audience feel the situation that we want to make like the situation in the evening at the village.
REFLECTIVE
= I learnt not all the improvement in technology is a good thing sometime we need to go back in time do some of the thing manually and it will give you some quality and some of the feeling like to appreciate what the animation have to trough when they want to make some of the entertainment for us.
=I also learnt not easy to make an animation we only watch the finish animation on the television but we does not know the difficulties that all animation have gone through to make we sit and smile in front of the television.
= Other than that I also learnt how to apply not all but some of the basic principle of animation into my animation. This is because if we make our animation but we forget to apply the basic principle our animation our movement in animation will make it look like rigid and not interesting.

I made the story about traditional game that I always see when I was child. My story is about 'Gasing' or in English we call it 'Top' it is a traditional game from Kelantan and it be played all around Malaysia. Gasing not only popular among the children but it also played by adults.
Gasing is a game that is made from wood that can be spinning it comes in many shape and size. Other than that gasing also have many type and each type have their own unique. For example the type of gasing such as gasing jantung, gasing piring, gasing kelamar, gasing telur, gasing berembang, gasing melayu, gasing cina, gasing buku benang dan gasing pinang.

Introduction
In a village there is one boy name Abu. He has 2 best friend names Ah Seng and Mutthu. Every evening they will spend time together playing gasing. One day while they playing under a big tree in front of the house suddenly Abu’s mothers call him. She asks Abu to help her go to shop and buy some groceries for her. Abu leave his friend for a while.
Climax
While Abu goes to the shop his friend stops playing gasing and take a break. Meanwhile in the same time gasing, string, nail and Tapak Uri start taking to each other. They argue who is the most important part in a gasing game. Everyone wants to say that he is the most important part compare to each other. After that they start to fight to each other.
Ending
When the nail, gasing, and string are fighting each other suddenly Tapak Uri comes and tries to stop the argument. He explains to them that all of them are very important to make the gasing spin perfectly. They understand and befriend again. At the same time Abu comes back from the shop and get his friend back. They start playing the gasing game and they enjoy playing the game.
Closure
Every situation that has been created has its own advantages and importance. like a top, they need each other to ensure that the top can spin properly if one of the top part of it is not perfect, it cannot be spinning tops with balanced.
REFLECTION
= From this task I know more about the history of the gasing and know the function of each part of the gasing.
= This task make me remember all the joy moment when I a little kid compare with nowadays majority the kid does not know what is gasing event they do not know how to play gasing. Kids nowadays always with their smart phone and I think it is not a healthy lifestyle.
Inking process
Subj : 2D Character Animation
In my previous task I need to draw and design the character for my story and now after all was finish I need to inking the character.
I use the Adobe Photoshop to edit my drawing and I also learnt to use Photoshop for make my character moving like the swing of the hand and the movement of the top. It very interesting and I think I enjoy do this animation although it is very stress.
other than that I also learnt how to use after effect and premier in my animation. At first it totally difficult to understand with many tool it make me confuse and take time to really understand a little bit of use this adobe. I try to understand to use this adobe through my lecture, peer and also you tube.
After understand how to use all this adobe I start enjoy do all the process and the important part is I do not need to draw so many drawing I can use all this adobe to make my work more easier and I love this part so much.

Design the Character
Subj : 2D Character Animation
Task : super hero
On this task we need to make our own super hero but our super hero must have the history and we must put some culture to our character.
For my character at first I think that I want to make a bugs bunny wear a traditional cloth and make it look like a Malay warrior. I already make their position in all side but suddenly my lecture said that this subject will be connect with another subject that need me to make a animation and put some of the culture in the story therefore I change my mind and create another character for my animation.
My character was a top. I start draw the position for all the side of the top and I also make a view from different camera angle for the top. It quite interesting for me to imagine how the top look like because at that time I cannot fine the top in the shop nearby so I just can imagine how it look like. After that when I get the top I compare the real top to my drawing top I think it look like same I just need to fix a little bit for the camera angle view. When all done I start to draw a face to my character and I think it look very cute...
After my main character are finish I start to draw the other character that I want to put on my animation. I start draw 3 little boy that is comes from a difference family and difference race and religion. I made this character because I want to show the spirit of Malaysia, as we know Malaysia have 3 importance race that stay together in one country.
Other than that I also draw some of the part of the top like the string and tapak uri this all the part that we need if we want to play a top.
REFLECTIVE
=Learnt to draw the character that is suitable for my story and can understand what this task about.

Inking the Gasing storyboards.
Subj : Imaginary for Narrative and Storyboards
This time I need to continue my story in the last task after finish making and do a research about gasing I need to do a storyboard about my story.
First I need to highlight the important part of my story and write down the list so it will make my work easier. After identify process was finish I try to make a short list for my story and start to do a rough sketches about my storyboard. It quite interesting to do the storyboard of our own story and we need to imagine the situation by my self not like before this I just make a storyboards base on the video that I have watched and it not difficult to imagine because I already see the movie and I can trace the storyboard base on the video. But this time I need to do from the fist like do a storyboard and then continue with editing and do the animation.
My storyboards contain 20 frame, I just make a simple sketches just for my reference to do the inking process. after finish my storyboards I start inking my storyboard one by one. At first I think it quite difficult to do the inking process without the correct tool like the pen but thank you to my lecture Mr.Sukor because he help me to get the pen and teach me a lot in do a inking process. I learnt how to make the inking look more interesting and not boring like use a different style of inking.
