MULTIMEDIA DESIGN NEW TECHNOLOGY

CHARACTER DESIGN

To make a animation there is a character in the animation therefor I need to create a character for my animation. There is not much character inside my animation only the girl character and the chicken at the beginning of the animation.

This is the character of my animation :

MULTIMEDIA DESIGN NEW TECHNOLOGY

STORY BOARD

After I done my concept board now I need to make storyboard for my story. Because my story is animation story I need to make a detail in the story board this is because when our storyboard is in detail it make our work become more easy especially when want to animate it.

My storyboard is about a girl start her days with a cup of Nescafe. This is my storyboard:

MULTIMEDIA DESIGN & NEW TECHNOLOGY

CONCEPT BOARD

After finalize my idea about what product that I want to promote the next step is by making a concept board. The concept of my product is the freshness of the hazelnut.

Nescafe Oh so nutty was a new flavor in Nescafe product, it is a combination of two type of hazelnut and when you drink it you can feel the freshness of the hazelnut and it is suitable  to drink anytime anywhere.

Other than that Nescafe hazelnut also very suitable to drink in the morning because you need the feel of freshness to begin the day. This is my concept board of my topic about the Nescafe Oh so nutty

GROUP DESIGN PROJECT

EXHIBITION SETUP

The exhibition day is around the corner therefor we need to start the setup of the exhibition place. We start with print all the thing that we want to exhibit like the wire frame, poster, app interface and many more.

Other than that we also buy a thing that we want to use to hang the thing on the exhibition day. this is the setup that we make for the exhibition day :

picture 1 : setup of exhibition
picture 2 : setup of exhibition
This is the picture that I took along the exhibition day. The exhibition day that we made is the same day with the assessment party for this semester therefore all the art work from other student also will be in the same place as the exhibition place. This is the picture that I capture around the exhibition day :
picture 3: the lecture do the assessment to other student
picture 4 : the look of our exhibition on the early of the exhibition
picture 5 : the group photo
REFLECTION
  • I learn that an exhibition need a lot of time and full focus on it to make it run well as what we plan.
  • A strong team work will make all the process to achieve target to the exhibition day play importance role therefor we need to work as a team to make the work reality.
  • Discussion also importance when we face a problem in a group, it will make the work finish fast and with a better solution.

GROUP DESIGN PROJECT

POSTER DESIGN

In exhibition there will be a poster to let  the people know about the exhibition. In the poster we need to put all the importance thing to make people know about the exhibition such as the date, place, time and a tittle. Other than that the arrangement of the poster and the item that we want to put in not to much because if there is too much image the poster will look crowded.

This is the poster that made by our creative director Samira Jamali, in the poster there is some information

DATE : 20 MAY 2016
PLACE : VERTICAL STUDIO B
TIME : 9.00AM - 5.00PM

And this is the poster for our exhibition:

and this is the invitation card and also the booklet for our exhibition :

GROUP DESIGN PROJECT

LOGO DESIGN

After get all the thing that is importance in a exhibition now it turn to make or design a proper logo. In the last semester I have learnt on how to make a proper logo. There is some principle to make a proper logo such as simple, memorable, timeless, versatile, and appropriate. Therefor we can apply all the rules in designing a logo for this exhibition.

We make a sketches on designing a logo, there is some difficulties in designing a logo that is suitable with the name of our exhibition 'SIX TO FIX'. The design must be attractive because we want to attract people to look at our exhibition. Here is some of the sketches from us in designing a logo:

picture 1 : sketches 1

picture 2 : sketches 2
picture 3  : sketches 3
picture 4 : sketches 4
picture 5 : sketches 5
This is some of the example of our sketches but after a discussion we plan to make another design. Than we make another logo and show it to our lecture and this is the logo that we made:

picture 6 : sketches 6

picture 7 : sketches 7

picture 8 : sketches 8
For the picture 6 and 7 we make a sharp line to form a number 6. Why six line ? we make a six line is like we are six member and work together in a group. after that we do another touch up to the logo to make it look nice and more elegance that is suitable with the project that we want to exhibit. This is the sketches that we made after some modifying to the logo :

picture 9 : sketches 9
picture 10 : sketches 10
From the sketches 9 and 10 we still maintain the six line in our logo but we make it look like the thumb print. This is because each of us have a difference identities and have a difference way to solve a problems, but we need to put some touch up to make it look more professional.This is the final of our logo design:

picture 11 : final logo
This is the final of our logo, we use the navy blue color and white color to the logo because a good logo need only 3 color to make it look more simple.

GROUP DESIGN PROJECT

TEAM WORK SPIRIT

When talk about the group project there will be a team work spirit, it is importance to make sure that our project will run as what we plan. The failure to give a commitment the project will effect. In the team work all the member need to work together and take the responsibility on their work. This is some of the rules to work in a group:

GET ALONG
- Do not argue

RESPECT OTHER
- Listen to everyone

ON TASK
- Are you doing your work?

USE QUIET VOICE
- Only your group should hear you

PARTICIPATE
- Join in and do your part

STAY IN YOUR GROUP
- Sit your group listen and watch

REFLECTION
  • Anything happen in a group avoid fighting and make a discussion to overcome the problem.
  • do our part and take the responsibility on what we must do.

GROUP DESIGN PROJECT

SPACE

After find out the name of our exhibition now we need to find a place or space for the exhibition. we need to measure the place that we need to use  and arrange it in proper way.

Other than that the logistic and the exhibit member need to work on the place or space that we need to use. They need to know the measurement that each of the member need to exhibit their artwork. They must collect and arrange us in the place or space that we have decided.

We have another meeting on 21st March 2016 to confirm the place that we want to use and to arrange us in the space. The place that we suggest was in the AVAA Gallery that is near to the library at the lobby. The reason we choose that  place because in the AVAA Gallery there is many light that  we can adjust and spot to our artwork to make people know where we want to focus when see our artwork.

Other than that the place are suitable because it at the lobby, easy to audience to come and saw what we want to show.

REFLECTION
  • When do a exhibition the first ting that we need to consider is the place, people need space to see our artwork and understand it, if the place are too small audience cannot analyse the work properly and feel not comfortable to go inside it.
  • second thing that need to consider if you want to make the exhibition was the lighting.

GROUP DESIGN PROJECT

10 March 2016

We conduct another meting, in this meeting we decide the actual name for out exhibition that is "SIX TO FIX"

SIX TO FIX

Six to fix is for the six member in the group that is design a system to fix a problem that is rise in the design field. we try to fill the empty part that have in the system to make it more efficient.

there is some system that is lack of something that will cause a problem therefor we as a designer thinks about it and try to solve it in a designer ways. for example there is some problem with the parking, there is too little  parking in public area and it a waste time for people to search of parking and also waste of oil. therefor the designer design a balloon as a solution, the balloon will go down if there is a car park at the area and when the car leave the place the balloon will go up again and it will solve a problem of parking.

It same to our exhibition, we come as a solution to a problem. as a designer we think creative ways to solve a problem. the six of us have a difference identities and difference way of thinking to solve a problem.

REFLECTION

  • When there is some problem we need to discus it whit other it will help us to solve a problem with a better ways.
  • A group discussion importance when do a group work because from this we know and alert about where we are.

GROUP DESIGN PROJECT

On 7 March 2016 we had another meeting to discus about the name for our group project. There is a a lot of name that come out at our mind such as :

  • Small Story Bigger Idea
  • Once Upon A Time
  • Tell Me Your Story
  • Believe me
  • All Kisah...
this is some of the idea for the exhibition name but we need to  sit down and make another discussion about the name of the  exhibition to make it sound more interesting and attract people to go to the exhibition in the same time the name was relate to the system that we all want to make.

GROUP DESIGN PROJECT

After the first meeting that we had, now we do another meeting to discuss what system that we want to do in the module design system and service. From the meeting that is attended by 5 of us we have made a decision about what we want to do for the module design system and service that is the system that we want to make will exhibit on the final assessment.

This is the system that we want to make:
AISYAH
A campaign about the blood donation. to make a system more easier with app and more user friendly. a campaign that want to make sure that  a donor is a good donor have a good blood  and what to do to keep our self healthy and make sure we have a good blood.

SAMIRA
A campaign about water, that is made from fruit that is not have alkali.

ALEXIS
Want to create a new emoji to represent Iban ethnic.

JEFFRY
An app to make people feel easy to make a shop for grocery without go at the mall. it like an online shopping.

SATISH
a system about an app to reduce stress and gain relaxation through social media

HATMI
A system about an app for shoe online shopping which user can customize their own shoe.

REFLECTION

  • Get to know what our peer doing and can help each other.
  • each of us have a difference out come and idea.

CREATIVE INDUSTRIES REPORT

INTRODUCTION

Creative Industries are increasingly acknowledged worldwide for having enormous potential as engines driving economic and social development. Not only do they account for higher than average growth rate and job creation, but they are also channels of cultural identity which play a key role in promoting cultural diversity. Expand this section to access links to online resources related to Creative Industries.

Fine artists create original works of art, through a variety of media. They often specialise in a particular medium, which may be categorised in the following ways

two-dimensional work (drawing, painting, collage);
three-dimensional work (sculpture, installation);
Four-dimensional work (moving images, performance).
Many artists also specialise in a subject and may concentrate on areas such as landscapes, portraits or abstract.

Fine artists can be commissioned to produce a piece of work or they can create their own pieces, which they then sell on, either directly to the public or through an intermediary such as a gallery or an agent. They may also run art classes or be involved with community art projects.

FINE ARTIST RESPONSIBILITY

A fine artist will usually be involved in researching, planning and creating art work and their activities may include:
generating ideas, idea development, sketching, making models;
creating or developing a piece of work in response to a brief or commission;
meeting deadlines;
working in a studio or off-site and adhering to health and safety procedures;
sourcing materials and developing relationships with suppliers;
researching, visiting locations, interviewing people, using libraries and the internet;
administration, correspondence, creating publicity;
project planning, creating and managing a budget, financial planning, calculating expenditure;
managing tax and self-employment issues;
organisation and administration tasks associated with running a studio;
writing project proposals for galleries, competitions or artist residencies;
writing funding applications (public and private)

CURRENT STATE OF FINE ART ARTIST

Craft and fine artists held about 50,300 jobs in 2014. About half of craft and fine artists were self-employed in 2014; others were employed in various industries.

Some artists work for companies that manufacture glass or clay products or for museums, historical sites, or similar institutions. Some fine artists are employed by motion picture and video production companies, by schools, or by publishers of periodicals. Other types of artists and related workers work for the federal government or for advertising and public relations firms.

Many artists work in fine-art or commercial art studios located in office buildings, warehouses, or lofts. Others work in private studios in their homes. Some artists share studio space, where they also may exhibit their work.

Studios are usually well lit and ventilated. However, artists may be exposed to fumes from glue, paint, ink, and other materials. They may also have to deal with dust or other residue from filings, splattered paint, or spilled cleaning and other fluids. Artists often wear protective gear, such as breathing masks and goggles, in order to remain safe from exposure to harmful materials. Ceramic and glass artists must use caution when they operate equipment and tools that can get very hot, such as kilns.

About half of craft and fine artists were self-employed in 2014; others were employed in various industries. Earnings for self-employed artists vary widely. Some charge only a nominal fee while they gain experience and build a reputation for their work. Others, such as well-established freelance fine artists and illustrators, can earn more than salaried artists.

Most craft and fine artists work full time, although part-time and variable work schedules are also common. In addition to pursuing their work as an artist, many hold another job because it may be difficult to rely solely on income earned from selling paintings or other works of art. During busy periods, artists may work long hours to meet deadlines. Self-employed artists can set their own hours.

DEMAND OF FINE ART FIELD

Craft and fine artists advance professionally as their work circulates and as they establish a reputation for their particular style. Many of the most successful artists continually develop new ideas, and their work often evolves over time.

Many artists do freelance work while continuing to hold a full-time job until they are established as professional artists. Others freelance part time while still in school, to develop experience and to build a portfolio of published work.

Freelance artists try to develop a set of clients who regularly contract for work. Some freelance artists are widely recognized for their skill in a specialty, such as illustrating children’s books or cartooning. These artists may earn high incomes and can choose the type of project they undertake.

There are some of the importance qualities that a fine artist should have to be a good fine artist such as:
Artistic ability. Craft and fine artists create artwork and other objects that are visually appealing or thought provoking. This endeavor usually requires significant skill and attention to detail in one or more art forms.
Business skills. Craft and fine artists must promote themselves and their art to build a reputation and to sell their art. They often study the market for their crafts or artwork to increase their understanding of what potential customers might want. Many craft and fine artists sell their work on the Internet, so developing an online presence is an important part of their art sales.
Creativity. Artists must have active imaginations to develop new and original ideas for their work.
Customer-service skills. Craft and fine artists, especially those who sell their work themselves, must be good at dealing with customers and potential buyers.
Dexterity. Most artists work with their hands and must be good at manipulating tools and materials to create their art.
Interpersonal skills. Artists often must interact with many people, including coworkers, gallery owners, and the public.

Competition for jobs as craft and fine artists is expected to be strong because there are more qualified candidates than available jobs. Competition is likely to grow among independent artists given that many of them sell their work in the same online marketplaces. In addition, competition among artists for the privilege of having their work shown in galleries is expected to remain intense.
Because the demand for artwork depends on consumers having extra income to spend, many of these artists will find that their income changes as does the overall economy. Only the most successful craft and fine artists receive major commissions for their work.

Despite the competition, studios, galleries, and individual clients are always on the lookout for artists who display outstanding talent, creativity, and style. Talented individuals who have developed a mastery of artistic techniques and marketing skills are likely to have the best job prospects.
Fine art can be studied in many forms including painting, new media, photography, printmaking and sculpture.

It is possible to study art as part of a combined honours degree programme, usually with a humanities or another creative subject. These may include performance, history of art, arts administration, education and community studies.

Fine art graduates can go on to further study in art and design at postgraduate level, completing an MA or MFA (Master of Fine Arts). This may help to increase prices for work, although this still largely depends on your talent and skills. Search for postgraduate courses in fine art.
It is possible to enter a career as a fine artist without a degree. Some artists learn through a combination of short courses such as evening or weekend classes, one-week intensive courses and other qualifications such as diplomas or certificates.

SKILL REQUIRED AS FINE ART ARTIST

As well as artistic talent, you will need to show evidence of the following:
determination and commitment;
self-belief;
idea development;
good visual communication skills;
business and self-promotion skills;
technical ability;
good verbal communication skills;
organisation skills and the ability to meet deadlines;
research skills;
ability to work independently and with others;
Stamina and a willingness to put in long hours.

Fine art is a highly competitive field with many more graduating students and artists than there are formal opportunities to exhibit. Fine artists must be resourceful in order to create their own opportunities and seek out new and interesting places to show and sell their work, such as artist-led spaces, bars, museums, shops, events and public spaces.
However, gallery owners, curators and private collectors are always looking for new artists with exceptional talent who they think are collectable and would produce a good show

CONCLUSION

Fine art artist have their own work ethic that is not same with the other art field. They need their own time and space to do their work. The demand for fine art industries is high because the art works that they produce have their own originality and cannot be copied by other person.

The art work that they produce need a time to finish it sometime there is some of material that difficult to find and need some time to get it and finish it. Other than that in the fine art field the artist need to know the latest material to make the art work this is because play with the difference material will produce a difference outcomes. The difference you are the more demand you are.

Using a difference material make you as a unique artist and make you look difference from the other artist. From here people will look at your work and recognize you just by looking at your work.

DESIGN SYSTEM AND SERVICE

T-SHIRT DESIGN

In my campaign there will have a t-shirt as a thing to show appreciate to the donor. The image on the t-shirt will change according to the theme in that time. Therefore the t-shirt concept can use in timeless.

The function of the t-shirt is like if the donor do a donation for the first time the image on the t-shirt will change the color little by little until full. Enough 5 time the donor make a donation the image on the t-shirt will totally change the color to red.

How to get the t-shirt ? A donor need to go to the event that we conduct to get the t-shirt for free. The t-shirt is like to show how we appreciate the blood donor. The donor deserve a salute form the citizen because when a donor make a donation is like they trying to save a life that need a blood.

DESIGN SYSTEM AND SERVICE

LOGO DESIGN

This is the design of my logo, because my campaign is about blood I use the color of red to represent of blood. Other than that I also make a symbol drop of blood as the major symbol in my logo. My logo is 'GOOD DONOR FOR LIFE'

This is the reference of my logo design:

DESIGN SYSTEM AND SERVICE

GOOD DONOR FOR LIFE

This system will Facebook as the main social media that is I will make an invitation in Facebook to people know about the campaign. From the invitation people will know more  about the campaign and lead people to download the app and make their account. This  the sample of the wire frame that I have made for the system that I want to make.

For the app I already make a interface design for my app and this is my app interface design

DESIGN SYSTEM AND SERVICE

Good donor for life is a campaign that will encourage people to donate the blood to the needed and make sure the blood is a good blood.

How to make sure that we have a good blood? To make sure that we have a good blood donor must adobe a healthy lifestyle that is know what they should eat to make their body keep healthy and what they should not eat that will harm their self. Food pyramid is one of the ways to make sure our body get enough nutrient and keep healthy.

Other than that we also need a enough exercise to our body like twice a week. it is to make sure that our lung healthy because lung is importance to pump the blood to whole body. Beside the exercise to make sure we have a good blood is by drink a lot of plain water. It is importance because to prevent the blood be too thickness.

To be a good blood donation, donor blood must be not to thick and not to thin. There is some problem when a donor want make a donation that is the pressure of the blood. High blood pressure, or hypertension, is a silent enemy. It manifests itself quietly and wrecks havoc undetected. According to the website that I have read it said that It is estimated that the number of hypertensive adults will increase from 972 million in 2000 to 1.56 billion in 2025, leading to a rise of about 60% out of which, around 10% of the population suffers from secondary hypertension caused by a pre-existing disease.

Other than that diabetes also will lead to the risk cannot do a donation. This is because people who take insulin are not allowed to give blood, which excludes both people with type 1 diabetes and people with type 2 diabetes who are insulin-dependent. The affect of blood donations on insulin levels is considered a risk to the donor's health.

All the disease and the way to prevent it will be in the app that I want to make. from the app people know what they should do to make them as a  good donor.

MULTIMEDIA DESIGN & NEW TECHNOLOGY

IDEALIZATION PROGRESS

In the week 6 I still confuse about what I supposes to do, what product that I really want to choose, why I choose the product. Just like the idea before this that I want to choose the KFC product but I want to make a new product in the KFC, WHY? the already product by KFC is already famous and well known, why I want to  make another product? Therefor, I decides to choose another product that I really like it and want to make everyone to try it and feel like what I feel. I want to share to the other people about the delicious thing that I have try.

Nescafe Oh so nutty! this is the product that I want to share to the other people about the  delicious of the drink. Nescafe Oh so nutty is one of the new product that produce by Nestle. There is more than 2000  brand, from global icon to local favorites. the nestle product will help people live more enjoyable, healthier lives, drawing on their 150 years of passion for nutrition to bring them products they can trust.

This is some of the product that produce by the nestle factory:
  • baby foods
  • bottle water
  • cereals
  • chocolate & confectionery
  • coffee
  • culinary, chilled & frozen food
  • dairy
  • drinks
  • food service
  • healthcare nutrition
  • ice cream
  • pet care
  • weight management
Among of all the product I choose the coffee  as my product that I want to promote. In the coffee product there is many type of Nescafe such as nescafe original, nescafe coconut, nescafe latte, and many more

Nescafe is the rich taste of your favourite coffee reflects its rich history. Nescafé coffee originated in Brazil in the 1930s as an early example of innovation and sustainable development. Building on Nestlé’s milk processing expertise, we developed soluble coffee helping thousands of Brazilian farmers avoid hardship and crop waste. True to our heritage, we continue to support and work with farmers around the world.

Having developed a way to make a quality cup of coffee simply by adding boiling water, Nescafé coffee was launched in Switzerland in 1938. It was soon exported to France, the UK and the USA. In 1965 Nescafé brand extended its innovation by offering freeze-dried soluble coffee with the launch of Gold Blend. Over the years, Nescafé product innovation has evolved further to capture even more of the natural aroma and flavour from every coffee bean. Today consumers around the word enjoy the quality, flavour, aroma, convenience and natural goodness of Nescafé coffee in many different formats.

MULTIMEDIA DESIGN NEW TECHNOLOGY

DEVELOPMENT OF IDEALIZATION

Breakfast menu in KFC product they have Nasi Lemak as the main menu in their breakfast menu. At first I want to make a new menu that is I want to promote a toast bread, this is because for me the bread is an easy menu to the people that is always have no time to take a breakfast.

As we all know that breakfast is the importance thing that we need to take and cannot miss it. This is because breakfast can give us energy to start the day,and to make sure that we enough energy to start the day. Bread is one of the easier things that people can grab and eat while they drive to the work place.

 Toast is a slice of bread that has been browned by exposure to radiant heat. This browning is the result of a Maillard reaction, altering the flavor of the bread as well as making it firmer so that it is easier to spread toppings on it. Toasting is a common method of making stale bread more palatable. Bread is often toasted using a toaster, an electrical appliance with heating elements. Toaster ovens are also used for toasting bread.

Toast is commonly eaten with butter or margarine and sweetened toppings such as jam or jelly. Regionally, savoury spreads such as peanut butter or yeast extracts may also be popular. Toast is a common breakfast food. When buttered, toast may also be served as accompaniment to savoury dishes such as soups or stews, or topped with other ingredients such as eggs or baked beans as a light meal. While slices of bread are a commonly toasted food, bagels and English muffins are also toasted. Toast may contain carcinogens caused by the browning process.

Toast is most commonly eaten with butter or margarine spread over it, and may be served with preserves, spreads, or other toppings in addition to or instead of butter. Toast with jam or marmalade is popular. A few other condiments that can be enjoyed with toast are chocolate spread, cream cheese, and peanut butter. Yeast extracts such as Marmite in the UK, New Zealand and South Africa, and Vegemite in Australia are national traditions. Some sandwiches, such as the BLT, call for toast to be used rather than bread.

Toast is an important component of many breakfasts, and is also important in some traditional bland specialty diets for people with gastrointestinal problems such as diarrhea.

In the United Kingdom, a dish popular with children is a soft-boiled egg eaten with toast soldiers at breakfast. Strips of toast (the soldiers) are dipped into the runny yolk of a boiled egg through a hole made in the top of the eggshell, and eaten.

In southern Sri Lanka it is common for toast to be paired with a curry soup and mint tea.

By 2013 "artisanal toast" had become a significant food trend in upscale American cities like San Francisco, where some commentators decried the increasing number of restaurants and bakeries selling freshly made toast at what was perceived to be an unreasonably high price.

MULTIMEDIA DESIGN & NEW TECHNOLOGY

IDEALIZATION

From the previous consultation with the lecture, I need study about the KFC product clearly.
this is the information that I get from the research about the KFC product.

In KFC there is 5 difference type of menu, the menu is

  • combo
  • burger

In the combo menu there is many type of  set such as :

  •  1- ps set combo
  • 1 piece rice plate
  • 2-ps set combo
  • 2 piece rice plate
  • snack plate
  • dinner plate
  • family feast
BURGER

  • Colonel burger
  • Zinger burger
  • Colonel burger combo
  • Zinger burger combo
SIDES ORDER

  • Whipped potato

  • Set B - 1pc rice plate
  • Set C - 2pc set
  • Set D - 2pc rice plate
  • Set E - snack plate
  • Set F - dinner plate
In this menu I choose the breakfast menu as the one ofthe KFC product that I want to promote.

MULTIMEDIA DESIGN NEW TECHNOLOGY

IDEALIZATION

My first idea is making a new packaging for KFC coffee, I notice there is a problem with the KFC packaging that is when customer want to buy a coffee they can not see the coffee and the cup for all the coffee is same. Therefore there will be a problem because sometime customer buy a lot type of coffee and they need to open it first to see what the contain. It take time to do that.

Therefore I come with the solution that is each of the cup will have a transparent part that will allow the customer to see what is inside of the cup. I have a experience that what I order and what I get is not the same. So when there is a part that is transparent at the cup there is no more mistake when you make an order.

After make a discussion and consultation with the lecture, she said that this subject is not about changing a packaging but find the way to promote the product. If I only change the packaging it does not make the user feel want to try the product. Therefore I need to really study about the product and think what is special about the product that will make people feel want to try the product and in the same time make the people keep talking about it.

SWOT ANALYSIS

There is list of strength, weakness, opportunities, and threat in a swot analysis and I have made my own swot analysis about my self and I put it in a infographic. At the beginning I feel the swot analysis was difficult to do because I have a problem to  understand myself, like what I am very good in and what my weakness. Therefor I need to understand my self and make a discussion with person that is close to me. From the discussion I can see about my self more clear about what I am good in and what I need to improve to make my self a better designer.

From the analysis that I made my strength is in drawing. I can draw a portrait and also the real drawing. My best part in drawing is in shading a small part and play with the difference type of line to make a tone in a drawing. I also develop my drawing skill in illustrator, I can make an outline of my drawing in illustrator and make a design from the drawing.

Other than that, I also good in painting, I make the painting look alive and can choose the suitable color for my painting. The canvas that I always use as the place that I paint is the glass. I good in painting the food and this is some of the example of my drawing using a glass plate.

Besides that, I also good in photography. Landscape photo is my best strength, landscape photography shows spaces within the world, sometimes vast and unending, but other times microscopic. Landscape photographs typically capture the presence of nature but can also focus on man-made features or disturbances of landscapes.

When you are really interested in photography you also need to love and know about the Photoshop. It will not complete if you just know how to capture nice image if does not know how to edited the image. I use the Photoshop, and also the picart application in hand phone to edit the image and make all the color and also the brightness stable. Pic art is one of the tool to edit a picture, it is like a mini Photoshop and it is more simple than a real Photoshop.

Everyone have their own weakness but we are not realize it until we make a analysis about our self from that we can know the weakness in our self. To know our own weakness is a good thing because we can improve it time by the time. My weakness from what I analyse about myself from the ethics of work is do the work last minute especially the work about the research and make a report.

Other than that is handling stress, this is the major weakness in myself that I can’t control and handle it. When I’m in stress I will not focus on the thing that I do and the entire thing that I do will not work. It is the negative work habit and I need to improve it.

Besides that, my weakness is in software 3D maya. I am not good in 3D because there is some part that I not good such as texturing the model and I need to improve it by understanding it more and play with the software more. The other thing about 3D animation also I am not good but I can improve it time by time.

Fear of public speaking, this is also one of my weaknesses. When I stand in front of many people I will lost my words to speak and other than that I also will shaking and it will intrude my speaking and make it look worst. This is happen because lack of confidence in our self to standing in front of many people.

Last of my weakness is I am not good in typography. I cannot pick a suitable font to match with the illustration that I have. Keep repeating the using the same font to play safe, and afraid to make a change. Other than that I also does not know the function of the bold font for what kind of illustration and which time that suitable to use it.

Opportunities are the result after you are analyse about your weakness and also your strength. From the opportunities you can identify which kind of industries that is suitable with your advantage and which kind of industries or company that you should avoid. For my opportunities is the illustration design. From my observation my opportunities are in illustrator design. Illustrator there is two type of part one is in typography and the other one is design. Because my weakness is in typography therefor I choose design illustrator. One of my strength is drawing and also using the illustrator for drawing and it is fit to me.

Nowadays all the company that want to hire the illustrator designer that have an experience of work and it make me get a small change to involve in this industry if I don’t have any experience. For that I decide while I still study I will involve myself in any competition so that I will have an advantage and also experience in participate in competition.

Other than that my opportunities is in photographer industry. In photography industry there are not only you knowing how to handle with the camera other than that as a photographer we also need to know how to handle the Adobe Photoshop. One of my strength is in photography and I also know well on how to handle Adobe Photoshop, it will give me an advantage because I get the entire thing that needed in the photography field. Other than can work with the company of photography I also can make my own company.

When talk about the photography industries, nowadays there is much company that will give a service on photographer but not all can give good qualities in photography. Some of the company can give their best quality on photography but still need many workers. For me I can do a photography follow with the trend nowadays and I also manage to edit the photo using the Adobe Photoshop. Therefore there is an advantage for me because I can handle two thing in one time.

The threat that I can see for myself is the illustrator from the oversee. They are many illustrator from outside that is have a lot of experience and also have a good skill in illustrator. Other than that our country loves to hire an international worker because they thought that they have a better skill and many experience in illustrator field. Many companies do not want to take a risk by hiring a fresh graduate because the fresh graduate will take time to learning a new thing in work field and the company do not want to waste the money and also the energy to give a time for fresh graduate learn to make their self-comfortable.

Other than that in the field of photography there is some competitor in the side of price and also the service that they offer to the customer. Sometime the company will offer the cheaper price but there are not have a qualities in the work it will make us as a new in this field feel like the customer don’t have a trusted in us as a fresh graduate.

Here is my infographic about my personal swot  analysis:

CREATIVE INDUSTRIES

What is creative industries?

There is no denying that the creative industries are evolving as a force in our global economy. The world is rapidly changing and creativity is at the forefront.

Technology provides new possibilities for artists in the creation of their works, as new outlets for their creativity, and as a means of promoting and distributing their work. Cutting-edge use of digital technologies produces networked performances and cultural experiences.

The lines between creative fields are increasingly blurred. Visual artists use interactive and moving images, performers use digital media in site-specific works, and collaborative teams create sophisticated productions that captivate our senses.

To get know our own creative industries we need to know well about our weakness and also our strength, From the weakness and also strength we can make a conclusion in what field we can go and involve on it. From the strength we can know in what field that we cat fit in and what we need to achieve to be hire in the creative industries field.

Other than that from the opportunities we can see what the demand of the creative industries that we need to know to make sure that we  are always be updated by the development of the industries. Beside that, from the threat also we can know what we need to do to make sure that we have more ability than other people to make sure we are been hire to the industries.

DESIGN & BUSINESS STRATEGIES (SWOT ANALYSIS)

SWOT ANALYSIS

WHAT IS SWOT ANALYSIS?

The words swot come from the acronym strength, weakness, opportunity, and threat. The use of swot analysis is to identify our strength, weakness, opportunities, and also our  threat, this is importance to identify our self. Other than that SWOT analysis is a situation analysis carried out for different purposes, usually but not necessarily by businesses.

In this analytical model, strengths and weaknesses are considered as the internal factors, completely controllable by the organization itself. Opportunities and threats, on the other hand, are regarded as external factors that might or might not be controllable by the organization. The model states that after thoroughly analyzing every element lying in these categories, an organization should work towards managing and developing further the strengths and opportunities while weaknesses and threats should be eradicated.

When drafting a SWOT analysis, individuals typically create a table split up into four columns to list each impacting element side-by-side for comparison. Strengths and weaknesses won't typically match listed opportunities and threats, though they should correlate somewhat since they're tied together in some way.

SWOT Analysis is a simple but useful framework for analyzing your organization's strengths and weaknesses, and the opportunities and threats that you face. It helps you focus on your strengths, minimize threats, and take the greatest possible advantage of opportunities available to you.

It can be used to "kick off" strategy formulation, or in a more sophisticated way as a serious strategy tool. You can also use it to get an understanding of your competitors, which can give you the insights you need to craft a coherent and successful competitive position.

When carrying out your analysis, be realistic and rigorous. Apply it at the right level, and supplement it with other option-generation tools where appropriate.
