Drawing Process 

Last week we do some trip to SUHU gallery, at there we was expose to what we should do when we want to start drawing. Firstly we were given a description about how we can get idea from the picture. We are told how the previous artist do a research to gain the idea to make a drawing, mostly they do manually like print a picture and scanning the picture. Today we do not do things like that to gain an idea, it looks like waste a paper because we need to print and do a lot of thing but now we just take a picture and do some editing in the software that provided for us and we can get better result.

When we want to make a drawing we need to do a preparation like prepare the frame which we will put the canvas on it. To make a frame we need a accurate measurement and angle to make it perfect and will form a shape that we want. Mostly the angle for the frame is 90 degree and the length of the frame depend on the size of our drawing.

After we have the frame we need to choose the type of canvas that we want to use that is suitable for our art. Painters working with a variety of type of paint. Each type of paint require a specific coating. There are three type of canvas, oil canvas, absorbent canvas and universal canvas. Oil canvas is intended solely for oil paint. Absorbent canvas are intended for tempera and the universal canvas are suitable for both oil paint and acrylic paint.

After finish the explanation about the material that we use to make a frame of canvas we go to another side that have two practical student do their work for the Nando's competition. They are need to make art base on Nando's therefor one of the student do art by combine two ways of art one is manual and another one is digital.


He make the poster of Nando's chicken because the base of Nando's food was chicken therefor he make the portrait of chicken and he also put the crown at the head of the chicken to show that chicken was the important part in Nando's food. After that he make the eggs of the chicken using the 3D printer and glue it at the bottom of the portrait. The purpose of this eggs because he said that chicken will laying eggs and will produce more chicken for the the company.
