ANIMATION

After the building, character and transportation done now we need to combine it all together in one task and make it move. First I need to do a housing. Because my building are too big therefor I make another house that is smaller than my building and I put it around my building.

I make the house very simple.

This the look of my housing and it also have a name 'Taman Mulia Utama'. I copy all the small house and put it along the road and I want to put my car at the road moving to the my building.

This the look of my housing withe car. Now I just need to move the car and it will be my animation.

TRANSPORTATION ( PART 2)

Start to design my car at the maya.

First I start wit putting the suitable polygon for my car like the shape of rectangle. After that I make a hole for the window.

Other than that I also make a hole for the space of the tires for my car. After that I stat design the look of my car from the front

I make a lamp for my car and also I make the cap for the engine. I also make a bumper for my car so it look nice. Other than that I also make a tires for my car and I think it look nice and sweet..

I also make a glass for the car window.

After finish the design now I start to color my car and find the suitable texture for my car. Every part of the car have a difference texture for example the texture of the tires are not same with the texture the body of the car. I also play with the transparency for the window glass to make it look nice and suitable for the character of the glass.

TRANSPORTATION

After finish designing the character now we need to design a transportation. First I think I want to design a lorry but after that I change my mind and start to designing a car. I have an experiences in designing a character therefor I think it easy for me to do this task.

The step still same first I need to do a sketch of my car and put it in illustrator and after finish just put the image to the maya and start designing the car.

CHARACTER DESIGN ( PART 2 )

After finish the tracing now I just need to put all the picture view from the front and view from the  side to the  maya and start to put the polygon and start to shape it

CHARACTER DESIGN

I need to do the character design a simple character. I think it not to difficult because the step was same with my first task that is make a building

First I need to draw or do a sketch about the character that I want to make after that I just need to transfer it and trace it in illustrator and also put some color to it.

CIRCUIT OF CULTURE ( PART 5 )

Last touch up for our installation art we put an image that we take from our visit and make a black and white slide show and project it as a back ground of our installation art. The image represent the thing and the situation that we can see if we go to the Hakka village. We also put a little sound for our installation like  the sound of crickets to make it more feel like the abandon and lonely place.

As you can see there is a structure of human at the middle of the project. The human represent how the 100 years ago people use the well. they take a water from the well to cook clean their self and also to drink.

We start to do our installation art. We collect all the thing that is will represent the abandon. After that we clean the place that we want to use. make it look dark and look like a lonely. We use the carpet as our background and we hang it after that we put all the material that we have collect to the flour it look like real like what we saw in the Hakka village.

The next day we hang the broken chair and the old cup at the same time we built our well using the wire, paper and a tissue paper. we color it with white color. the use of tissue paper is to get the texture of the well, the use of white color because we want to project the image of the well to it.

We want to make our installation in black and white because it represent the memory of the place, the thing that has been past and we still need to remember it because it valuable. Other than that we also put a live flower at the middle of the place. The flower represent the hope although the place is old and abandon it still have hope, the hope from the villages that want the village to not being destroy. Other than that the flower also represent there is still a people staying there although the place are abandon and lonely.

There is one thing that we do is we put the wet soil below the installation art. The function of the soil is to make a smell like the place are a long time abandon. At that place also we put a wood to make a smell of the wood because from what I saw almost all the house there was made using the  wood and when I go inside the house I can smell the wood.

We do another visit to Hakka Village to get more picture for our installation art. We go to the house that is I think the most scary and have a lot of thing that we can make an installation for our project.

After all are ready we do another discussion about the installation that we want to made. We think of the village and we feel like the village was abandon and I think the place need someone to preserve it from destroy. The village have something that is unique that we need it in the future.

Therefor we decided want to make an installation about the abandon, we want to bring back the Hakka Village to the studio. first we need to identify the suitable place for us to do an installation. The place should be dark because we want to represent the abandon place.

In our installation we want to show that what we see now and what really happen in 100 years before this. We put all the thing that it look like abandon like the dry leave and all the thing that is broken. As we can see the thing that is for us is important was the source of the water therefor we decided to put the well as one of our installation art because we saw each of the house in Hakka village have the well.

Make a visit to Hakka Village to look and feel the real situation in there. You cannot imagine your self how the condition of the village and you also cannot feel the situation in there. As we know the Hakka Village is the old town it almost 100 year and the population was the old people. When I go there I can feel the lonely, abandon, scary and a feeling of afraid.

Some of the house there was empty but still have a good structure and I notice that their house was built with nice arrangement, the house are built close to each other. And one more thing that I found at Hakka Village was each of the house have a well, I think all the village get their water supplier from the well.

When I go there, I notice that at the village there is a lot of dog barking at us. It feel like the villagers don't want to any strange come to the house or the village to take their village. They use the dog as their protection.  

We also go inside I think three house that is abandon and I can feel the creepy in the house. The house look like  has been a long time  be abandon. Some of the house look nice from the out side but when you go inside the house you can see and feel the feeling of creepy. The most interesting part in the house that I saw a old well that is a big tree grow from inside of the well. It show how old and a long time the house has been abandon.

CIRCUIT OF CULTURE ( PART 1 )

Culture means the cumulative deposit of knowledge,experience, beliefs, values, attitude, meaning, hierarchies, religion, nations of times, roles, spatial relations and the concepts of the  universe.
we have choose one place for our next task we chose Hakka Village because for me it look like have a culture that difficult for us to find it at another place.

The Hakka villagers claim that their village is more than 100 years old. They trace their history right back to 1860. Most of them came from Hui Zhou, China, and were brought here by the British to work in the tin mines. They settled in a village in Mantin known as kampung Attap because of its roofing. Today the same village is known as kampong Hakka. They have a temple Tokong Tan Gong and a school SJK Chi Chi Mantin, both with a hundred years' history. But now the condition are different, there is alot of change compare to before this.

CURATORIAL ISSUES

A curator is the person responsible for a specific collection in a cultural heritage institution ( such as an archive, a library, or a museum ). The curator specializes in  a object relevant to the collection and is deeply informed about the content it contains. This person is responsible for selecting material to go into the collection like writing documentation, reports, and catalogs that describe the material like overseeing its maintenance and preservation and often performing other activities such as publishing research on the collection, arranging to meet with researchers who want to use or learnt about the collection, and other activities. A curator may be a librarian, an archivist, a historian, or hold an advanced degree in any of a number of subjects.
 For this curatorial issues we do a visit to the Publica and visit all the gallery in there. We can see all the arrangement of the art work have the difference arrangement in all the gallery.

After look around and enjoy the art after that one of the curator at the gallery came out and introduce her self and she explain about what curator do and she also told us that if u want to be a good curator you need to do a visit to other gallery and saw how they arrange all the art in the gallery. To be a curator you also need to know the suitable place for the art so example the art that need more light and which art that need a bigger space. She also told us that to be curator you cannot learnt at the collage or any where it a gift for you to be a curator you just need a chance to polish your ability and it no need a curator background to be a curator. when you be a curator there need a paper work and the most important is the idea how you want the gallery to look like. Other than that the budget also play an important part to push our creativity, the huge budget you have the more creativity thing you can do.

DRAWING PROCESS

After the first visit to the SUHU Gallery for the first time now we do another visit to the same place to see the tutorial about the drawing process. At the SUHU Gallery we are teach how to make a realism drawing by Dr.Hushinaidi. He told us the type of the brush and the pallet that we should use for the drawing process. He said that when we want to use the brush to we should think about the suitable for the drawing and our comfortable to use it. Other than that we also can use other thing to make the effect to our drawing like the role for painting. The drawing will give more feel when we make it with variety of effect. Other than that he also share with us why he use the wood as a pallet. He said that when we use the wood the color will not mix to other color that we use before this. when we use the usual pallet, when the color are dry it will mix with the new color and will effect the color that we want to use.

Other than that the lecture also do some tutorial how to paint the drawing. He said that coloring drawing is not about to copy all the drawing but we need to understand the structure and the light of the drawing.

TASK D

VISUAL COMMUNICATION 

Visual communication is communication through a visual aid and is describe as the transformation of idea and information in forms that can be read or looked upon. Visual communication in part or whole relies on vision, and is primarily presented or expressed with two dimension image, it also includes signs, typography, drawing, graphic design, illustration, industrial design, advertising, animation color and electronic resources. It also explore the idea that a visual message accompanying text has a greater power to inform, educate, or persuade a person or audience. For example we do an infographic, people have long accepted that the a picture can replace a thousand words, and similarly. Other than that a simple graph also can be replace a table full of  number. Basic visualization allows us to immediately  comprehend a message by detecting notable patterns, trend, and outline in the data.

Furthermore, using the visual communication also the information that we want to deliver will be more memorable. For this semester I took communicating practice that is relate to the visual communication so much. In the first task I need to do a infographic that we are believe when we use a visual in delivering something to the audience the information will look more interesting and easy to understand. For my infographic the topic is about the laksa in Malaysia. I need to do a research about the recipe and I need to read a recipe book to get the recipe for all the laksa in Malaysia. When I open the book we can see only the image of the laksa and the other ingredient was in text and it make me only remember the look of the food but when I want to cook I need to refer back to the book because I not remember the ingredient. Therefor I do an infographic about the ingredient in laksa, I also make the ingredient in the symbol form to make it easy to understand and look more interesting.

Other than that from my research also I find out that our brain will be remember a lot of thing with the thing that have many color such as the mind map that have a variety of color and less text. From the Goodnough and Woods (2002)vii discovered that students perceived mind mapping as a fun, interesting and motivating approach to learning. Several students attributed the fun aspect to the opportunity to be creative when creating Mind Maps through lots of choice in color, symbols, key words and design. According to Margulies (1991)vi,  before children learn a language, they visualize picture in their minds which are linked to concepts. Unfortunately, once children are trained to write only words in one color, on lined paper, their creative channels and mental flexibility diminishes. Using images, like Mind Maps, keeps this creativity fired up. Therefor it clear that using the color to deliver some information and using less text will give more impact to the audience.

For my infographic I use the color that it suitable to the food because my infographic is all about the food. I use the color that is not to bright and not to dull, the color that I choose it will make people interested on it and feel like want to try it. Other than that the symbol for the ingredient I just make a simple symbol. Some of the ingredient I just use the the geometric shape like triangle, circle, square and also triangle and some of the ingredient I just simplified it using the original shape like the shape of the salad and the shape of the meet. The using of the symbol is more effective to the audience to remember all the ingredient compare to the using of the text.

In conclusion, visual communication will give more impact compare to use the text. With the visual communication we can minimize the using of the text and replace it with the symbol, color and other object to make it look more interesting. When using visual communication people will be more interesting to find out what information that we want to deliver. Other than that visual communication also can be use in campaign or in the poster, it more effective compare just use the words. We can make the communication more interesting using the most creative ways like two dimension and also three dimension as long the information that we want to deliver still there and the audience will understand what we want to deliver.

TASK C (Part 1)

The art of good communication comes with great listening skills. These are five interactive listening tips are present that can be use to becomes better listener.

• PARAPHRASE the note that we take from what we listen and understand 
• REPEAT re-doing the thing 
• PROB missing information
• CLARIFY asking the thing that is not understand or to make sure the point is right.
• REMEMBER all the information that we get put it in mind and can use it in on the future.

TASK C (Part 2)

In this task I need to think and make a summary from the text that was read by the lecture. There is three text that was read by the lecture first is about Branding, second is about Branding and Business and third is  about Branding and Society.

1. BRANDING

Branding was define the process involve in creating a unique name and image for a product in the consumer mind, mainly though advertising campaign with a consistent theme. We use the branding almost every day but sometime the branding also can be miss interpreted. Other than that with the branding also it can link us to all the product that the company produce. The branding play an importance role in the company this is because the strong branding will boost the company. Beside that branding also will show the full personalty of the company. When people hear or look the branding they  will automatically think about the good or the feel when using the product. The good branding with the good product will convince the audience to buy and trust the brand. Branding also one of the way for the company to contact with the audience. A message can be deliver to the audience just through the branding.

2. BRANDING & BUSINESS

Branding was the most importance part in business. All the company use the branding to catch the general marketing With the branding also we can describe all the product that the company produce such as the branding for the food like Nestle. When we said Nestle we can imagine all the product that the company produce such as Milo,  ais-krim and also chocolate. The branding also must accurate with the product so the customer will give their trust to the product. Other than that the branding also must be visible to the employee and the customer.

3. BRANDING & SOCIETY

The branding should be flexibility and also adaptability on society. This is because with one branding it will known in global and that is why the branding should be flexibility to the society. Beside that when the brand know in global there will no re-brand for the company because to get the trust from the customer is not easy. It took long time to get the trust from the customer therefor if the branding could not boost the company try to do new marketing not re-brand the company. For example the brand of Samsung, before this Samsung was cheaper in Europe (1990's) compare to the Sony it more preferable in Europe but now the brand of Samsung have the same level with the Sony.

Now I need to choose two of ten quotes and this is the quotes that I have choose :

I choose this quotes because for me the back ground and the quotes are not suitable it look like scary and the typo also not suitable. I think it should use the peace color to show the feel of comfortable. 

This quotes mean that with the art we can feel comfortable and with art also we can feel stress art mean everything to the art people. 

the second quotes that I choose is :

This quotes have a clear meaning but as we can see from the picture 2 the arrangement of the typo are not suitable. There is some of the text that arrange in vertical and some in horizontal. It will make the audience difficult to read it.

For the next task I need to find 10 quotes and pick two from it that it is difficult to understand and you think there is a problem from the designing of the quotes and design it again.

Many quotations are routinely incorrect or attributed to the wrong authors, and quotations from obscure or unknown writers are often attributed to far more famous writers. Deliberate misquotation is also common, though this often goes unnoticed, usually because the misquotation is better know or because the misquotation better fits a situation. There as a designer we need to redesign it back to make people clear about the quotes and also make it easy to understand.

Here I have choose two quotes that is for me it has a problem and need to fix it to make it easy to read and also make it look more nice.
